Welcome to my Website! My name is Jockie. I live in Tranent, near Edinburgh, the Scottish Capital, hence the title of my original site "Edimburgo" of which this is an updated version. I also have a passion for my wife's home country of Brasil.
Annoyed that the only sites I had seen on the Internet for Brasilians visiting the UK concentrated On London, I decided to attempt to make a site which would give at least some rudimentary ideas of things to do & see to the Brasilian traveller when they visited here. It quickly became apparent that I could expand this site to talk about more of the places I think would interest the traveller in general to Scotland (not just from Brasil, but from elsewhere too), and so it was that more pages detailing other places to visit in Scotland were added.
The original site was now growing rapidly, and I soon had the idea that perhaps I could expand my travel tips further to talk about all of the places I have visited in Europe, and not only Europe, but further afield to give a description of my frequent expeditions into Brasil.
Lugares do Jockão is the result of my efforts. I hope you enjoy my scrawlings about the places I have visited across the globe, and I hope that the accompanying photographs will give you some idea about the sights to be had in those various locations.
